Save the Date for the 1st DonorVoice Behavioral Symposium

August 8, 2019      Kiki Koutmeridou, Chief Behavioral Scientist, DonorVoice

Invaluable academic knowledge typically remains inaccessible to fundraising practitioners. Academics, on the other hand, are usually unaware of the real-life challenges charities face.

In an effort to fix this, we’re bringing together professors in behavioral science – also part of DonorVoice’s Nudge Unit – and nonprofit practitioners in the first-ever DonorVoice Behavioral Symposium. This will give the chance to both parties to share insights and form mutually beneficial collaborations.

Behavioral science is way more than the much talked about nudges. Most sessions on the topic focus on the tactical changes that might optimize a subject line or an outer envelope. While we won’t completely ignore their potential, our Symposium will primarily focus on deeper insights around why people help each other.

The way to prosperity isn’t paved by individual, tactical changes based on behavioral nudges but on strategic changes based on behavioral insight. Join us to learn how.

The Symposium is free and is spread over two days: 30th September and 1st October from 9-12 AM Eastern (2-5 PM UK). Pre-register here to save your spot.

In a couple of weeks, we’ll announce more details about speakers, topics, and what’s happening when, but we wanted you to be able to get this on your calendar now.  Thanks and hope you enjoy!

Kiki

P.S. The sessions will be archived for those disadvantaged by time zones and our effort to bring Europe and North America together.  But you need to register to receive the presentations.
