4 Global Fundraising Trends
Joe Boland at Fundraising Success writes about four global fundraising trends identified by Blackbaud in their recent report, 2010 State of the Fundraising Industry.
Here they are:
- New fundraising and communication channels, although growing, are not replacing traditional channels. [Yep.]
- ROI and organizational effectiveness are under scrutiny (by donors) and more important than ever. [They blame it on Boomers.]
- There is a new focus on the total supporter journey vs. traditional “donor management.” [This relates to constituent relationship management versus transactional fundraising … the topic of a guest “rant” on The Agitator this coming Friday!]
- Fundraising is emerging as a widely-recognized profession around the globe. [Art is becoming science.]
