Spring and the conference season are now upon us, and I wanted to share with you a couple of ‘coming attractions’ featuring folks in the Agitator family.

ATTRACTION # 1 – Tomorrow, March 18th, Gail Perry will host a Telesummit on The Art of Asking:  Bringing Home the Money featuring a keynote by Agitator Roger Craver, titled ‘Creating Fertile Ground for Asking and Giving’.

The Telesummit kicks off at 12:00 noon ET on Tuesday and runs until 4 pm. Also featured to help you hone your asking skills are:

  • Amy Eisentein, author, trainer and consultant speaking on‘50 Asks in 50 Weeks’.
  • Brian Saber of Asking Matters on ‘How to Raise Tons More Money Using Your Own Personal Asking Style’.
  • Author and veteran consultant Andrea Kihlstedt on ‘The Intentional Asking Conversation: The Kinder Gentler, Much More Successful Way to Get Your Donors to Say YES!’.

Agitator readers are entitled to a special registration fee of $99 – that’s 33% off the regular telesummit price of $149. You can sign up here.

ATTRACTION #2 – Everyone knows it costs less to retain a donor than to acquire a new one. Knowing as much as you can about your donors can help you keep them. The right data can help you look beyond the numbers and figure out how and why donors connect – and stay – with you.

At 2 pm ET on March 26th Margaret Battistelli Gardner, Editor in Chief of Fundraising Success will host a free online session titled Donor Data: The Key to Retention.

The session features insights and case histories from:

  • Our colleague Kevin Schulman, CEO of DonorVoice.
  • Leslie Monk, Director of Sponsor Care of ChildFund.
  • Jamey Heinze, Chief Marketing Officer of CDS Global.

You’ll learn:

  • What things besides numbers are important when it comes to knowing your donors;
  • How to determine donors’ interest in supporting your cause and what keeps them engaged;
  • How to pull together data from various sources to get a 360 degree view of your donor.

Sign up free right here.

Are there other conferences out there we should know about?
