Christmas Week Editorial Note
This week’s post is brought to you by an AI-generated image, because even pretending to be thoughtful felt like too much effort. If you’re disappointed, you should get in line with our children and spouses…
Please know we briefly considered a “Best Of” roundup, then remembered we have access to the reader stats and watch them slowly, heroically grind toward zero in this two week span.
So instead, your co-agitators, editors-in-chief, and the entire DonorVoice editorial board, are officially mailing it in – no analysis, no charts, no behavioral science takedown of something dumb someone said on LinkedIn.
We will be celebrating the holidays the way any serious publication does. A Christmas party for a nonexistent staff. Awards handed out to ourselves for “Most Words Written While Mildly Annoyed” and “Best Use of a Footnote to Make a Point No One Asked For.” Possibly a spirited debate about next year’s editorial calendar that ends with both of us agreeing we should probably write less, then immediately ignoring that conclusion.
We will be back after the holidays with fresh ideas, renewed energy, and the same unhealthy fixation on how fundraising keeps confusing volume with effectiveness.
Until then, enjoy the AI image since it worked harder than we did this week.
Roger and Kevin

Happy Christmas!!! and to all a good night and even better 2026! Cheers, Erica
Wishing a merry yet agitated Christmas to all award winners.
“We the recipients” really appreciate your guidance, Roger and Kevin — thank you!
Merry Christmas to ya’ll too! Thanks for your smarts and your encouragement always!
Very cool! Merry Christmas!
Happy holidays! Enjoy your time off!
Would expect nothing more! Have good holidays. This is not generated AI, not because I wouldn’t like to use it, but because I am comfortable without knowing the methods. Both of you are important to the discussion in the nonprofit community. Bob
