DON’T talk about how great your nonprofit is. DO talk about how great your donor is … and how their gift will bring about the changes they want to see accomplished.
From a communications standpoint, this is the nub of being ‘donor centric’.
You need to place your self in the donor’s shoes … actually in her head space — what is she thinking and feeling … what is she wanting to accomplish?
