How To Attract Hispanic Donors
The Agitator doesn’t often plug fundraising webinars, but only because we are inundated with them … too many to choose from.
But I’m making an exception today, because the topic is one that we prod our readers about regularly — getting our arms around the donor potential of the US Hispanic community. (For starters, see Fresh Opportunity for Direct Mail Fundraisers and the links therein.)
And the presenters in this case have substantial hands-on experience doing just that.
The webinar — “How to Attract Hispanic Donors” — is sponsored by the Chronicle of Philanthropy. It’s set for Thursday, September 11, 2pm Eastern. Costs $96.
The presenters are Damaris Montalvo of Russ Reid, who will be sharing her experience with Operation Smile (en Espanol website), and Ana Gloria Rivas-Vazquez from Catholic Relief Services (en Espanol website). Not surprisingly, Catholic charities appear to lead the way in reaching the Hispanic market — see our post, Needed: Hispanic Donors.
Hmmm … Spanish language websites. Is there a clue to success here?
I’m predicting $96 will be a worthwhile investment in learning about fundraising that’s working in this key emerging market.
