I Told You It Would Never End!
Exactly two weeks ago I ‘boasted’ of my invitation to have dinner with Hillary Clinton … all I had to do was provide some further info about myself.
Naturally it was a draw … a ‘come on’.
I warned readers that — despite the fact that I’ve never responded to a Hillary email, the Clinton campaign would be relentless in hounding me for the next 14 months, speculating that next they would invite me for a free trip to Disneyland.
Well, I was partly right and partly wrong.
Yes, they have kept hounding me … more messages from Hillary in the last two weeks than I care to recount.
No, they haven’t invited me to Disneyland … I had that wrong.
They’ve invited me to Las Vegas!!
Here’s the invitation …
Please, please, please … I beg of you. Don’t submit your donors to this kind of bull dung.
I’m sure it works. I’m sure some Hillary devotees even find it cool.
But your donors deserve better. So does the nonprofit sector.

Sometimes fundraisers (as we all know) get unfair stick from the general public. Perhaps it is because of this sort of fundraising tactic that we get that title. You have to give respect to earn respect – a great fundraiser is not only measured by the value of their donations but also by how valued their donors feel throughout the process of donation – from when they’re first asked to when they’re finally thanked!
