Images For Every Nonprofit

July 3, 2012      Admin

From Inspiring Generosity, it’s all about images …

“Some nonprofits find it challenging at times to represent the work they do in photos, rather than text. But photos are one of the most shared content on social media, so it’s become important for causes to adapt and show more images in order to bring about more engagement—likes, comments, sharing—on their social networks.”

The article suggests “6 images every nonprofit can capture” and explains their value … fundraisers, other events, people/animals/environment you helped (now they’re talking), quotes (now they’re stretching it!), progress (otherwise known as results!).

The advice is pretty basic, but the point about the immense popularity of online photo-sharing is important to note. If you want to improve the chances of your message ‘going viral’ … say it with an image, not just words.
